OMMA License Renewal Information
The Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority (OMMA) has announced some initial information about patient renewals. If you were a medical marijuana patient in Oklahoma beginning in 2018, your card is up for renewal in 2020. Renewals will be processed no earlier than 30 days prior to the expiration date listed on your card.
Patient Renewals begin July 25, 2020
30 days before your license expires, you may begin the renewal process.
- STEP 1 – Obtain a new Physician Recommendation Form
- STEP 2 – Visit OMMA.ok.gov and select “returning applicants” to sign-in to your account
- STEP 3 – Select “Actions” on your existing license and select “Patient Renewal“

Doctor Recommendation
You are required to get another doctor recommendation to renew your card. There are now several more affordable options than those available to early applicants. Telemedicine is especially popular given the pandemic, but the network of local physicians is also considerably more established than in 2018.
